Helping Fathers become Dads

Welcome new visitors.  This site and the tools and information contained therein was developed for new dads.  Check it out!

This site is divided into three major areas:

Daddy Survival Guide - You are a man, and now you are about to be a dad...but real men don't read those what to expect kind of books.  Still, we have no problem reading a Chilton manual to fix that pinion knocking under the hood.  The guide is that manual, direct, informative...funny, and full of useful tips and techniques every man should know.

Daddy Books - Our library consists of children books told from the male perspective about things that are of interest to men.  The design is to get men involved in reading to their children at an early age and to read books that speaks more to what men like and do.  Books range from newborn to 1 year in the Daddy Spoke Baby collection, 1 - 3 years with the Toddler Talks collection and 3 - 6 years Daddys Girl and Daddys Boy collection.  You can order your books directly online and save 5% off the MSRP.

Finally we have the Gift Shop.  Men simply don't know what and where to buy gifts that are inventive, cool from a male perspective and unique.  We carry everything from Maternity clothes, to baby
gear, to fun stuff for dads.

Just For Daddy History

Just For Daddy was started in 2008 created by two fathers that had a hard time finding the tools they needed to make the whole daddy experience fun and rewarding.  This started with a concept for a book that quickly turned into something more when we began researching all the tools that a daddy would need to a great daddy. Visit our site.

Our Keys to Success

lf Just For Daddy is to be successful, we must focus on the daddy/child relationship.  Develop all of our daddy tools by keeping in mind how daddy's think and act while focusing on the development of the little ones.

For the Daddy Books:  Create books that appeal to both daddy and child alike.  Keep the content focused on the daddy while the pictures and flow are focused on the child.  This will create an exciting combination of reader/readee thereby creating a more enjoyable experience for both - especially the little one.

For the Daddy Survival Guide:  Keep it honest, short and to the point.  The success of the website will be that it is easy to find tips and tricks for getting along with the new family.  There will be links for the dad who wants to dig into the details.  There will also be an easy DaddyBlog for when you need help.

For the Daddy Store:  Provide an easy and fun experience for everyone who visits the website.  It will focused on top gift ideas for and from daddy.  The site needs to be clean, easy and fun.

Mission

Our mission is to provide both new and used daddy's  with all of the tools necessary to be a great daddy.  These tools include the Daddy Store, Daddy Website and Daddy Books.

Vision

We want fathers to learn how to properly tend to their childrens' developmental needs.  We believe that education and learning will help our society by developing well rounded and intelligent children.  Families need to work together to form values and strong social structure.  We choose to change the world one father and child at a time.

Reading is FUNdamental

Life gets busy!  No one ever said it was easy raising a child, not to mention one that is smart, funny, empathetic and stable.  The first step to creating a bond with your child is to make reading a routine...from the time they arrive home from the hospital.  As fathers we are often away from home and only see the children early in the morning and right before bedtime.  It is the perfect way to become reintroduced to their little minds, and to become a familiar person instead of an occasional visitor.  The words you read at first are not as important as the sound of your voice and the look of your face.  Reading to children has statistically shown stronger family bonds, and well balanced and intelligent children.  A few tips for reading to children, open the book toward them and turn the pages so they see the images, you may need to memorize the pages or learn to read upside down.

As always, Just for Daddy is here to help!
