The Daddy Survival Guide
The Daddy Survival Guide is a tips and tool book for real men. It's not filled with fluff or needless information, it's simply the direct truth on what to do now that she's knocked up.
Trying to get it together, to get prepared for that baby, don't know
where to turn for information. Are you looking for expert insight...or
just trying to look smarter than you really are when it comes to
babies. This book will help navigate you through the trials and joys
of fatherhood.
When my oldest daughter was born over 21 years
ago, I was the proud father and wanted to give her everything. I just
didn't understand exactly what that meant to an infant. For the first
week at home she cried every waking moment. I had enough common sense
(and watched enough television) to know to feed, burp and change her.
Yet she still cried. At my wits end, I surrendered and called my
mother who lived over 2000 miles away. She asked the typical
experienced mommy questions about changing, cleaning, burping,
feeding. Then she walked me through the feeding process... she asked
how I did it. I explained that I went to the refrigerator, took out
the premixed formula, took a sterilized nipped and screwed it on, and
fed her. My mother found the problem. My daughter was having a
stomach ache. She explained that I needed the bottle to be warmed to
room temperature if not slightly warmer. I did, and my little girl
became the angel I knew she was.
My point is that no one ever told me what to do, that is why I am here. To tell you exactly what to do. You can see an excerpt from the book in the Downloads section of our site and see some of the tips and ideas under the Advice Section.
** SPOILER** This book is for men, so not only is it about babies, but there are some little tips on things men like, that have nothing to do with babies or having a baby. For example, do you know how to control a skid in order to reverse your driving direction without stopping? Check it out, buy the book.

information on everything from conception to toddler years. Easy to
read and understand how to instructions on changing a diaper, feeding a

Daddy Survival Guide: Reading, Riting & Rithmatic - Early Childhood Education
Are you seriously going to wait until your child is in kindergarten before they learn to read, write and count? Many parents do, and some because they are too busy or don't understand the importance of early at home education. My child is brilliant...yet they can't read. Your child should be well on their way to reading and basic math by age 4. | Understanding your significant other through her pregnancy
She
is pregnant and excited! Woohoo... yet you are a little nervous,
concerned, freaked out... and you smile and say... 'That's
wonderful'... Now what. The first change is the relationship.
Dietary restrictions on top of hormonal changes and physical changes
will drive her mad...and mostly at you.
Preparing for Baby
If you're lucky, you have 8 to 9 months to get ready for the little
bundle (of joy/poop - your choice on how to reference baby). This is
the time to think about furnishings, decorating, safety, resources and
equipment. Know what you need, what to have on hand and where to buy
those things.
Now that baby is here
You need to know how to feed, burp and change the baby. You need to
know how to swaddle, wash and tend to the baby. You need to know how
to operate a swing, bouncy seat and place the baby in a car seat. How
to wash clothes and when to take the baby out and knowing what to
wear. It's more than any man should have to deal with.
Don't Forget about Mommy
She's done all the work with baby for 9 months, now its your turn.
Don't shirk your responsibilities, including taking care of mommy. She
needs affection, attention and release of stress. You may not get sex
for a while after the baby arrives, but it you ever want it to be good
again, treat her right and she will take care of you! | | Fatherhood needs a survival guide
Dads are always clueless. We were not taken into the gym when we were
boys and told what a period is or what happens when you have a baby.
Our moms don't prepare us for non-traditional or modern day parenting.
